Martin Colony History: The Purple Martin Population Is Very Slim In Northwest Kansas. Before adding additional housing I’m trying to get 100% occupancy. Studying different entrances and larger compartments. Heat tests have been started in 2017. Trying to make a cooler compartment.

We did a nest check tonight! But I lowered my Mini Castle and looked in a nest there was 2 hatchlings and one egg. But the 1 egg was in the front room so I picked it up and placed it back into the nest but during that time it was in my hand I felt a baby moving inside! I have hatched many poultry eggs and felt the same thing but I just thought it was neat because it was a Martin baby.

Kyler,
Wow, that is cool! I've never felt that but I don't think I've handled any eggs that weren't bad already.

I wonder why that egg was outside the nest. :?:
