Still waiting here, darn it! It is now 21 days later than last year... Had a pair of lookers stop by several times yesterday, but nothing today. My Auntie Joan doesn't have any martins yet, either, and she has hosted 2-3 pair for years. She says the numbers in her town (30 miles from me) has hardly any martins at all... Trying to stay hopeful.

Hang in there mamma.. especially with storm season here, a whole colony could be looking for a home at any point the next couple weeks.
Had an SY pair show up today and hung out for a while on the gourd rack. I'm still hopeful. We have two nests of tree swallows about 2-3 weeks apart with young and sure enough another pair took up residence today.
Martin Colony History: Started trying to attract purple martins in 2012! It's finally happened in 2017! 5 years!!! ASY male and SY female came May 1st, fledged 5 babies!
My lone subbie remains at my site. Several other SY'S have visited. There have been a couple of ASY's that attempt to entice my SY-M to follow them, but he is sticking here so far. He gets Sooo excited when he sees new birds visiting. His vocalizations are really varied!!
I believe the SY's are still moving through our area!!
I'm hanging in too, for more to fill my house. I only can accommodate 5 pair..
