Chicks - we got chicks and one set with feathers

. These poor Martins have had thunderstorms on two days last week with some light hail. Might get more this afternoon and tomorrow. We can always use the rain but not hail. I clocked a wind gust of 43 on that first weather event.

Oops, I missed a couple of weeks of nest checks. We had some very beneficial rains and I didn't want to put on my clodhopper mud boots. Anyway, since 6-1 I discovered three gourds with mites and treated those three yesterday. I put 5% Sevin in all of the tunnels today (and rescued a 20 something day old chick escapee on the ground.)
