I had a pair that laid 9 eggs. 8 hatched, but 3 babies died, and I was helping the parents feed them by putting crickets in the compartment.
It was my first and only pair this year. 5 fledged successfully. Very exciting.

Am I considered established with one pair and 2 houses up ?

I know PMCA recommends leaving up housing until the end of Aug before taking it down. But I would think leaving the compartments open would only encourage sparrows to try and move in.
What do you think on this ?

What did the rehabber say about the prognosis of avian pox ? I have 1 nestling also with a lesion, but it's above the upper eyelid
