Hi Whippy,
That line of storms hit us at around 3 this morning and passed through fairly quick. Same thing happened here was loaded down with new arrivals this morning but most must of moved on later in the day. Mabe they will show up at your house tomorrow morning. Mike.

Best of luck dealing with the starlings. Hopefully with your entrance modifications they will be discouraged enough to move on. No matter what don't give up. There is still plenty enough time to attract martins this season in central texas. Keep us posted. Mike.

About three days ago I watched a starling pull a martin out of his cavity causing a badly broke wing. All happened so quick caught me off guard. That bugged me all day. In fact it still be buggin me.

Hi Rodger Yes its alot of cavities. I use to be able to do a complete nest check of all in two days but that was a long time ago back in 09. I had over 700 pair back then. This morning early all martins were acting like a hawk was watching them. So I made my normal walk around and they never setteled down. Couldn't figure what was up. Later around noon about my 4th or 5th round i seen a martin land at a cavity look in and fly off like a snake had got past my netting. ...

When checking on birds during the night I am starting to hear a little bit more scratching. Get past these rain days It will be time to treat. Seems a little early but guess their enjoying the warmer weather also.

Hi steve r. Flyin lowe is right about snakes going up and over a 4 foot 6inch pipe. Easy for the larger ones. Good luck and you will not miss work after you retire. I did nine monthes ago and love it.

Have really had a lot come in yesterday even with that bad weather and more today. About 25 miles southeast of Temple. Way the weather looks they should just keep pouring in.

A lot of extra visitors this morning, but when they came in from feeding looks like most had moved on northward. The way they are all acting their getting plenty to eat.
