These beautiful sterling silver Purple Martin earrings are handcrafted by Nanette Mickle, a Purple Martin landlord.

Each earring starts off as plain silver sheet and is lovingly transformed into a beautiful one-of-a-kind Purple Martin. The earrings measure 1.25” from the bottom of the handmade earwire to the bottom of the wing. 

They are lightweight, and very comfortable to wear.

Nanette Mickle is a longtime martin landlord in Virginia and is responsible for initiating geolocator research from the mid-Atlantic region.  She started her business 'Birds with Backpacks'  and began selling her 'nature inspired jewelry with a cause' to help raise necessary funds for geolocators.  All profits from the sale of her jewelry goes towards bird conservation research so not only can you look beautiful wearing her jewelry, you can feel good about purchasing it!
