The Coates Base Plate is a steel base plate which measures 6 X 6" and is 1/4" thick.

It has 4 bolt holes to secure the house or feeder to the plate. Welded to the bottom of the plate is an adapter (round pipe) that has an OD of 1-1/2" and an ID of 1-3/8" with 1/16" wall. There are two bolt holes to secure the pole to the base plate.

The steel plate is used to attach the Coates House products to the Coates pole (CHD12), or any pole with an OD of 1-5/8" to 1-7/8"; any pole with an ID of 1"; to 1-1/4"; will also work. The heavy duty pole top section (CHD12) fits over the outside of the adapter.

Base plate can also be used for other flat-bottomed houses or bird feeders, including wood.  Hardware is included when sold with a Coates house.
