Purple Martins are dependent on us for housing, so these "how to" plans will give youth and adults alike the satisfaction of providing for them. Besides, establishing and maintaining a martin colony is very exciting!

This 6 compartment wooden cedar house has spacious 6" x 11" suites. Each suite has individual porches to prevent porch dominance along with a choice of round or crescent entrances. Side doors easily unlatch to view the nest inside and do nest checks and replacements.

Only 7 to 9 hours is required to construct a Cedar Suite. Finished house is designed to be mounted onto a pole with winch and cable, for easy raising and lowereing.
