I just got a new t-14. I plan to paint it white. Should I paint the inside dark or leave alone.

I painted the inside of my t-14 white because someone told me that it would deter starlings and it wouldn't bother the martins. I would leave it natural martins don't like the smell of paint, and I don't think it really deterred the starlings that much.
I'd paint it....easier to keep clean....last longer....dry out faster when it gets wet....harder for mites etc to hide in esp if you fill cracks/seams with paint

- Martin Colony History: I have had housing up at my residence since 2000. I added some additional housing and gourds in 2007, and I have been getting purple Martins in my houses and gourds ever since that time.
I just bought a T-14 and painted it white on the outside only. You want the natural cedar so that it deters some insects. Also, I bought the ceramic paint additive and used it. It is suppose to control the temperature of the inside of the house. Here is the link: http://www.hytechsales.com/insulating_p ... tives.html
