fledged a total of 7 Martins

On my May 1 nest check I expected perhaps 1 chick of 4 might have
hatched. But when I unscrewed the gourd hatch I saw 4 little pinkies.
It seemed to me the littlest one was struggling abit. Maybe dehydrated
or not being fed? I am glad I left mom figure it out because 3 days later
things are looking up.My #2 gourd now has 3 eggs in it. I hope I can do a
little better in about another week.

did a nest change yesterday and chick 4 was gone. 3 fine and no mites. Sorry I
did not try to catch 4 up to their brothers and sisters. No pieces of egg shells from
hatch or remains of 4.
