Tired of turning

Postby tor » Sun Jan 12, 2020 3:23 pm

I got tired of hand-winching racks. Yes, yes, I'm just 60, but preparing for the future  . I bought one last year, and works flawlessly with a battery drill and a socket. Grease it up, and you're ready to go. Perfect.

Maybe consider counterbalance system? They take a bunch of work though and bigger pipe. A heavy weight inside the pipe helps you raise and lower quickly, 10 seconds?. Work like you used to see in vertical wood windows of old houses. I just erected one, is a 16-gourd Abare rack on a 3" galvanized steel pipe. Will never blow down, I betcha! People used to use those old window weights as cat fish trot line weights.
