I was just kidding! I built a house 3 years ago and I put little 1 inch cedar shingles 410 of them I glued and stapled them individually it took me a week to get it done but it sure looked good, if I knew how to post pics on here I would send you one. Have a good day.

That is one seriously amazing build.
Way above my skill set.
Keep it in your living room and open the windows to let the Martins in to use it. Looks too good to put up on a post but I'm sure it will outlast just about anything that's out there right now.
Coolwhips.

Fuzz,
If you click on the tools tab you will get a drop down menu where you probably resized the picture., In that same menu there is a rotate option as well.

Thanks for fixing my mess I’m just looking on my iPhone to see if I can rotate the picture but can’t find that option but I will keep working on it.

That looks really nice Fuzz! I may have to try that. Are the compartments accessible somehow on that house?

The compartments are accessible the roof comes off as one level and then the second level comes off of the bottom level, the levels are screwed together on each side of each level. I built this not knowing any thing about purple martins after I learned a lot about martins from the knowledgeable people on this forum and have since built a t14 which is one of the best PM houses on the market in my opinion, I will admit the first house isn’t set up for checking on purple martins but I really haven’t had any problems with it yet and I plan on phasing it out and replacing it with another t 14.

- Martin Colony History: I have been exposed to purple martin sounds in utero when my mother went out to get my father away from his martin colony.
I played around the martin colony every summer and watched as my father maintained his colony. In the late 50's until the 70's he did not notice European Starlings in south Texas.
When old enough, I helped maintain his colony. My primary task was eliminating English House Sparrows with a 1956 Benjamin 317 .177 air rifle.
When I settled into my own home, I started my first colony with an original Trio Castle and Trio Grandpa. When I moved again, I did not put up any martin houses. Frustration with European Starlings in the Southeast US was overwhelming.
Found PMCA Forum and learned about modern enlarged compartments and SREHs.
Inherited my father's last martin house, a Trio Grandma, modified it to modern specifications and have had good results since then.
Gun,
You need to finish this topic with a picture of your North Star Purple Martin House with the purple martins perched on it.
I went through this entire post and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for the time and effort to post your work with all of the pictures.
