We had great success this season and a lot of enjoyment. The birds raised several babies in our 12x6 hotel rooms that accommodate 16 birds. They left and gone for about 10 days and as I was about to take down house Martins arrived by a group of about 20-30 birds. This group stayed around for about 3-4 days and they left. Now about every other day some birds are here and the next day has gone.
What's happening? I was thinking maybe this is a rest stop for birds going south

Could be a rest stop but more likely this year’s youngsters from around your area checking out housing for next year. I wouldn’t take it down just yet or you might miss the opportunity of a houseful next season
