So I walked out this morning and there they were 7 Martin's circling our houses. ...stayed for less than 5 min. and were gone. Still nice to see, curious if there is a roost somewhere in central Ohio.

We are on the Ohio River between Parkersburg and Wheeling and are wondering where the nearest roost is to us. We have a late fledge (8/31) and as of tonight still have 3 Martins staying in our box. I would be interested in any information regarding roosts in Ohio/West Virginia.

Hey Ron, if you go to the PMCA home page and click scout arrival study and on the left side of the page you will see Project Martin Roost. Looks like there have been a few reported in the past along the Ohio river in WVA. but none this year.Glad you're still seeing birds. None here in several days. Barnies are bailing too..

Thanks, John. I had checked the roost report and it didn't look like any had been confirmed near us this year. I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask . . . It's exciting to still have birds, but we're a little concerned since we've never had them this late.
