Today, I tried it. I had great difficulty watching the martins, or working in the garden because of insects: mosquitoes and gnats. Our daughter told us to use white vinegar, dab it on your hands, face, forehead, neck, ankles, etc. Then use a lint sheet from the dryer to rub it in those areas for control from those insects.
I just used white vinegar on a cotton ball, dabbed it on my neck, etc....Never had a mosquito or gnat bother me for 2 hours while I was watching the martins. Try it, it works somewhat but the gnats still bothered me later in the day

Emil:
THe favorite knat repellant at the golf courses around here is vanilla extract. Some use 1/2 water plus 1/2 vanilla, and some mix a little soap with it. It really works for the knats. Not sure how it does with mosquitos - regular repellent work great for them.

All good ideas.
I tried just the dryer sheet a couple of times & it reduced the number of Mosquitos & chiggars.
Not 100% but it was maybe 95%.

I too agree that the best Insect repellent is vinegar, but it will work just for a few hours till you get wet in water, But what after that? I remember My sister was also fed up with rats in her garden area, then one of her neighbour suggested her to contact Professional Pest Exterminator likewise they had contacted to pest exterminator in Sacramento, when they faced problem with rats in their garden.
