R-7 in .177 cal is what you are looking for, but you can forget the suppressor as they are illegal in the US, even on an air rifle. You can get a muzzle break for one, but it is not a suppressor. You must find the right pellet for your gun, and domes are the best all around for accuracy, wound chann...

You go girl, hang in there, it will happen. The longer you wait, the more you will appreciate them. Remember, I waited 10+ years.

Wireless nest cameras

We have started a colony at the place where I work. This is the first season that the rack has been up. We have an ASY actively building a nest and a SY pair still checking out gourds. Anyway, the plant manager found out from a co-worker that I have cameras mounted in some of my gourds, and he is in...

I found eggs in my nest check as well, here in Rocky Mount. Out of 114 cavities, I have 64 nests. 13 nests had a total of 34 eggs. Only one nest had 5 eggs. The others had 1-3. I did a nest check last Saturday to try and get a count on my number of pairs, but there were no eggs of course.

Kent, I installed a Gemini rack at the place where I work. They told me to get what I wanted and that is the system that I chose. I installed it last November. I have 24 Supergourds on it. It is made from superior materials and craftsmanship. It was very easy to put together. I got the automatic bra...

The ideal size is 5/8". You can get aluminum rods from McMaster-Carr in various lengths. You may consider them expensive, but considering they will basically last forever, you are looking at a one time cost. Put up as many as you can and make them as long as you can. If you can drill holes in your p...

Nice try, but that would leave me with an incomplete collection and you wouldn't want me to suffer that fate, would you? Keep at it, you will get them.

They have taken to my TVG gourds as well. I don't know how many of the 12 are occupied, but I will on my first nest check. Of my 100 gourds, I have gone to all plastic except for 3. The gourd of choice here seems to be THG. I have a mixture of Supergourds, TVG, THC, Naturelines, and a couple of Excl...

No, it is an ASY female. You can tell by the brown covert tail feathers. A SY female will have white ones. The covert tail feathers are the ones underneath at the rear of the bird.

You are correct in what you say, but how are you setting your TV on? You must change the input on your TV or it will just receive regular channels and not the video in. It must be changed to video in or line in, depending on the TV.

Do you have the proper Line In on the TV or VCR chosen and not a regular channel? Are you sure you have power to the unit? Those are two things to check. Most probably, you don't have the proper Line In chosen.

Most definitely they will use trees in the early season. When my first birds arrive, they will check out the housing and then go to a large Post Oak tree in my father's yards that is 400 yards away. They will perch there for long lengths of time just observing and getting to know each other. At the ...

I disagree, and don't think you can have too much housing up. Just make sure you have premade nests in each cavity and decoys up.

As of last night, I was up to 12 birds. They will shortly be pouring into our state, so just be patient. It has been a very cold winter in the South. All the birds that have shown up appear to be very healthy and full of spunk. If they laid over anywhere down south of me, and were fed by someone, I ...

Hang in there and don't give up. It took me over 10 years to get a colony started, and last year, in my fifth year as a landlord, I had 83 pair. During those 10+ years, I too, had many well established landlords come by and inspect my site, and none could understand why I couldn't get started. Final...
