Thanks everyone for all the posts and well-wishes! We did see the two PM's on Monday but they were way up high and did not land. At least I know they are still around and we have our fingers crossed. Ronnie715, I agree with KathyF and Joe - open your compartments so the PM's have their choice. Thank...

Visitors! Finally!
Well, for the first time in several years (I've lost track how many) we finally had two visiting PM's this morning. I was busy in the back yard digging up a leaking water line to my garage when I heard them over head. My wife and I hurried over to my houses about 150 feet away and just stood watchin...

Thanks for sharing a great album full of such beautiful pics! If I had that many PM's I would not be able to sleep. Awesome setup too.

Had to dig out my old PM pamphlet where I used to keep dates and notes. My last nesting birds were in 1996 and I had 5 nesting pair in a 12 room Heath house that year. The next few years I had visitors which would begin to build and then move along. But at least they were in the neighborhood as they...

Re: Don In Virginia
Hey Joe, No luck yet! Still playing dawn song everyday. There are reported sightings in my county (King George) and neighboring counties to the west so I still have my fingers crossed.

Re: WAITING ON FIRST SIGHTING
And same here Tye. I'm just south of you and have not seen or heard a single martin while others less than 5 miles away have already reported sightings. I'm just glad to see more people in our parts of VA are becoming interested in attracting martins. Good Luck to you!

Congratulations Glenn. If you get overrun please send a couple a few miles north. Still have not seen or heard a single martin in my area of the woods. Good Luck on the season.

Hey Joe, Great shots. I think that first one (coffee5) would make you a great avatar.
Still no PM's but there were reported sightings about 70 miles south.
