Sorry to hear about your BB babies. As far as the box, I just had 5 BB babies fledge. I waited 2 days before cleaning it. It is white on all 4 walls, and arounf the entrance hole, from bird poop. Think its fairly normal to see a dirty box, specially when the babies grow close to fledging. They're ju...

Grats to you, Jennifer. Very nice shots too. Sounds like we're in the same boat. First real nest check this afternoon. We have two eggs so far, trying for the first time this year. Hopefully we'll get a few more. If not, we will still call it a success, and make darn sure that the ones we got, we ta...

In addition to the video feed being gone, what I heard at the same time was the most gawd awful screams from some bird. Sounded like some kind of attach. I just was hoping your martins was ok.

Randall,

I'm not sure what's going on, but your cam don't have a video feed, and the sound sure don't sound like a martin. If it is a martin, he is in deep distress..

Thanks,

Tom, We're up a little north of Bennettsville, SC with a new site, and according to previous years reports, we should start looking for SY's from about middle April / end of April out. We had a couple of ASY's flying around and land here a week ago or so. Of course they didn't stay, but still a magn...

Using a "Magnet" blaring from about 4 AM  Because the Magnet is playing for 2 hours max (the power has to be taken off then reapplied again for another 2 hours), we've got it on a timer capable of several ON / OFF events. So the timer comes on at 04:00AM OFF at 05:59AM, ON at 06:00AM, OFF at 0...
