Gus, I just love watching your web cam on my regular computer. Unfortunately, I'm not able to view it on this laptop. I just get an empty square in the upper left corner. I can get the sound to come on, but there is no picture. By any chance would you know what the problem could be? I've cleared my ...

Gus, and Carlton, thanks for your suggestions too! I was kind of embarrassed to start this thread, but now I'm glad I did. I got a lot of good ideas! Thanks!

Kelly, that is a GREAT idea! I also have a Super Gourd with insert trap. So far, all I've caught in it is a Bluebird. I had always wished there was a way to see what you had caught before opening the lid, but with your way of doing it, you wouldn't have to worry about a bad bird escaping. Where do y...

Thanks Sandy, I'll get it fixed up. I don't want that to happen again. I'm glad I don't have to worry about anyone around here letting these scum beaks go. That would really make me mad!

Thank you Sandy, and Mary for the ideas. Unfortunately, when I got back outside to remove them, the starling was gone! He must have lifted the top up and got out. ARGH! I didn't know they could do that. Well, hopefully he won't be back. As for the sparrow, I reached in very carefully and grabbed him...

OMG, I've got a starling in my ST-1 trap! His yellow beak is soooo intimidating! Please give me some ideas on how to remove him. Will he peck me if/when I try to grab him? Oh, please someone come get this thing out for me!...LOL... There's a male house sparrow in the other compartment. I'll reach in...

Hi Donna and Astrid, Yes, I think my season has started.... :)...I'm sure we're going to get some more foul weather, but I've got crickets in the freezer, and am ready to scramble some eggs if need be. I'm so thankful my birds know how to eat the crickets and eggs I offer them.... :)...Hope y'all ha...

Shari, PM's will nest in a gourd on a Shepherd's hook. I had a pair last year raise 5 babies in one. They've reclaimed it again this year. I've had a male Tree Swallow (first time I've ever seen one around here) show up here March 18. I put up another gourd on a Shepherd's hook for him, but another ...
