This is what I thought you meant when pulling the trigger

I pulled the trigger today also. Got my Hamerilli 850 out of the plastic bag (absolutely dust free from being in storage for 4 months), screwed on bottle of gas, loaded my 8 shot clip, and put one down range at my target at 65 feet. bulls eye! Moved target to 30 degrees up, put another pellet down r...

Thanks Matt and Debbie, Emil, I thought of that and still have that option if needed. I have lots of starlings and thought they would get in the caged in porch and kill PM's with no rear exit even though the can't get into the cavity. That's why I left the exits (at the front and inside) Plus PMs li...

My version T16 Ghost house

My old plywood house finely had it after 13 years and few mod's. So I had the wood and time and Some Idea's of what I perceive as Predator safe GHOST house. First I wanted the Nest chamber to be in the front for ease of nest checks. With nest chamber in front that would mean all Entries would be L s...

I have made doors/compartment dividers for the trio style housing. You can get small sheet of cheap sheet metal at any hardware store. You take divider or door flatten it out with hammer Trace and cut out. Using heavy duty tin snips or vise and chisel to cut and hammer and vise to make the bends. Th...

Stokes field guide says 1 1/2" to 2 1/2". So your 1 9/16" should be OK depending on how thick the wood at the entry hole is? I make mine 1 5/8" with 2 by 4 1 3/4" hole tunnel. I have plenty of starlings around haven't seen one able to enter it yet. I have also noticed they like nest high up 15 to 20...

Also the oil in the green needles makes them burn very hot so once one gets going like pouring gasoline on it. A ...

On all my bluebird boxes I build wooden tunnels out of 2x4 squares. The hole in the 2x4 are about 1 5/8" to 1 3/4" with 1 1/2" hole into the cavity. I do this for protection from sparrows and other birds reach. Beings My bluebirds build the nest all the way to the top so they can see out the entry r...

IMO the T-14 can be built with build in predator guards. I personally think the GHOST T-14 in the best design.. IMO even if you use tunnels I would still Design L shaped cavities on 75% of the cavities By of setting the entries from front to side on each section to reduce porch dominance . On the st...
