What to do? Strange Happening

Last 4-5 days I've noticed 5 adult Roadrunners hanging around the yard. Not unusual to see them but not 5! Well dove season is on here and I've been swamped with them in the yard and all over. I was looking outside at the tree that holds my feeders and all 5 of the roadrunners were in the tree. Whil...

Thanks Kenny! I was going to replace the vents on my gourds. The caulk finally gave in and the whole thing fell off on one. I like the idea of the threads.

Ray, you tried, thanks. DE is bad for the lungs. It looks like dust but its really little sharp particles. It'd be a real killer if not done correctly. I know it's an old remedy and I used it once on my donkeys 16 years ago.

Try to put them in a gourd that has others the same size. If all the jumpers are the same size I'd put them all together. It's so hard to know which nest they came from so just do what you think best.

Can't open his website. Is that Phil Donahue's colony? Surely not.

This is exactly the reason I don't watch webcam. If I can't control things I go nuts!!

Toy that's good news. Send some of your rain down here. Our grass is already brown and the grasshoppers are eating everything!

It sounds like your colony is going well.

Jim it'd be best to remove it. Plug the entrance on the gourds with young. I use a rolled up sock with a sting attached. Do you know how old the babies are in the other nests? If under 20 days old you shouldn't have any problems.

Dave try to get them back in a nest together in possible. This year I've been able to watch fledging and found that my jumpers weren't jumpers at all but were being pulled out of the gourds by SY males. It happened twice and I put all of them into a gourd on a rack across from a house that was ready...

I'm interested to know also. I have always thought that the fledglings needed one on one feeding in flight lessons. Without lessons I wonder if random birds will try to feed them. A roost is just so chaotic.

Matt my last group won't be near fledging until last week of July. Keep me in mind for later. All other nests have fledged.
