is it alright to feed martins chopped hard boiled eggs?

I had a western kingbird take residence in my yard by my puma houses.It was very weird since they aren't supposed to be this far east.They did not harass the martins much though.

I wish I had tree swallows but I dont think they are in my area of Kansas.I have barnies though and i guess thats good enough.

Im sure the martins will eat big black crickets. Its just getting a lot of them to fill their tummies.If they can gulf down huge dragon flies, Im sure they can eat those big crickets and would love them!Even catch spiders if you are brave enough. i have come across some big spiders while looking for...

Could not help noticing the up side down decoy.For me that would be a red flag that a hawk or owl swiped at it. But I don't know how tight yours is around the perch.The wind could do that too.

There have been several martins stop by.THEY MAY BE LATE BUT THEY ARE COMING !!! IF they want a gourmet meal of crickets for the fly, they can dine or use the" fly through" for a quick bite to eat

yesterday it was in the 30s and snowing.i had 15 extra martins just show up.i started flipping crickets and boy were they hungry.They spent the night and they all left the today since Im down to my usual resident martins.Just wanna let you landlords up north know that your martins might already know...

Well i was just looking outside and a purple martin just went into the purple finches cavity and now theres a fight going on!

I have a pair of purple finches building a nest in one of my houses. Should i let them build a nest? Will they hurt my martins?Or will they help chase sparrows away?

well i just got done flipping crickets in the freezing cold rain.Boy were the martins glad to see me though .i must have used at least 300 crickets.it doesn't seem martins ever get full.They always want more and more...then a couple would just hover a couple feet above me to get the first chance at ...

All my martins are taking flipped crickets!!!!!!!They learn fast especially when they are hungry!! Looks like they will survive this next cold spell! I could get right under them and toss crickets up with my hands! What a wonderful experience!
