Chris you will absolutely love your new air rifle. You'll see I've recommended the marauder to anyone who asks. Lots of good info on the web about the marauder. Nice tank set up as well. I have two older tanks I use in a cascading set up to be more "air efficient". Remember though your highest press...

The Benjamin Marauder is about the best air rifle on the market in my opinion. But it's not cheap either. I have one and wouldn't trade it for any air rifle on the market.

Good story Gobbler. There's definitely something addictive about them though. I am curious if you are working on a new nickname for him now though? I hope you get your colony started this year Gobbler. I know how hard you've worked at it. Best of luck to you.

Send some of those birds up my way Kathy. We only have 3 so far. Our birds didn't get here until april 2 last year so we're still early yet. Congrats on your new arrivals.

I don't sit out on the deck watching the martins with out my marauder setting on the rail beside me. It's scoped in at the exact distance to my housing. Can pick off a rat with other birds around them. The whack of the pellet smacking the rat startles the others more than the air rifle does. But I a...

Always nice to hear how someone gets others started in martins. Very nice looking setup you have as well. I can imagine setting back on that deck smoking a big cigar and wathcing the martins for hours

Hang in there. A few have showed up but the main push isn't here yet. There's 5 colonies (including mine) I see going back and forth to work only seen martins at 2 of them. And the one that is the biggest colony I haven't seen any there yet. I know it's hard to be patient waiting on your birds to sh...

Thanks Kathy. Looks like they're both here to stay. Kathy I hope you post more pics of your colony when the occupancy is up. You have such a beautiful setup. I added a few Bo 11's this year. But I also started some gourd seeds hoping to grow my own to add natural gourds next year.

Fast food joints often have these. Different items they use come in them. Pickles, relish, mustard, dressing etc. Hope you find some that work for you.

Looks like a beautiful well cared for site to me. I would think you will be picking up quite a few more birds this year. Best of luck to you and post some pics with lots of birds when you get them.

Pair in Excello MO

The first martins of the year showed up today. A M/F pair. This is a full 3 weeks ahead of last year. We're having unseasonably warm weather, as we did most all winter. Going to have to order my crickets in case it turns to winter again.

Kevin that is a great looking set up you have there. I'm curious about what you used for cross arms also. It does look stout enough to take just about whatever mother nature throws your way.

Congrats nancy hopefully they will stay with you. Glad to hear your eliminating the flying rats in your area. Every time I go to town and I'm in the wal-mart, burger king, etc parking lots I just cringe at all the HOSP's I see. I can keep my little corner of the world safe but unfortunately these pe...
