Reported By: JOYCE MENDENHALL Send an email to JOYCE MENDENHALL Reported: August 2006 Species Composition: WE WENT TO THE GPS COORDINATES, (WITH OUR GPS), AND COULD NOT GET ACCESS TO THE EXACT SITE. IT IS HEAVILY WOODED,WITH NO ACCESS ROADS,NOT EVEN A LOGGING ROAD. WE WERE THERE AT SUNDOWN, AND SAW NO BIRDS IN THE AREA(COMING IN). A NEIGHBOR HAS SAID THERE MAY BE ONE FURTHER SOUTH, AND SHE IS GOING TO CHECK WITH SOME FRIENDS THERE. Description of Roost's Location: HEAVILY WOODED. NO ROADS. 8 MILES SOUTH OF CTY. RD. 18 ON ST. RD. 165.ABOUT 2 MILES PAST MEAD/WESTVACO PLANT. LEFT SIDE OF ROAD. Public Access to Roost?: No History of Roost: UNKNOWN Description of Roost's Habitat: COULD NOT SEE IT Opportunities at Roost: OTHER THAN BACKPACKING IN, THE ANSWER IS NO. |
