Welcome to the internet's gathering place for Purple Martin enthusiasts

I counted 39 chicks this year, as of now most have all fledged, just 4 nests left with parents feeding them. I love watching the young ones learn how to fly. My martins talk to me and don't mind when I have to change the nest due to mites if they are bad. I have had good luck this year by putting in some damascus earth when the chicks have feathers and I see mites starting I am careful to put under pine and around guord lid opening on outside.
