Martin Colony History: The Purple Martin Population Is Very Slim In Northwest Kansas. Before adding additional housing I’m trying to get 100% occupancy. Studying different entrances and larger compartments. Heat tests have been started in 2017. Trying to make a cooler compartment.

Fledging Time

Well I had my first baby fledge today. I had a baby on the ground and the house he came out of had babies on the porches everywhere. So I lowered it slowly and 1 baby took off and flew and the parents took after it. So I guess I made him fledge but he flew completely fine. He came out of my oldest Nest which should fledge any day now.
