Modifications this Winter

Postby Kyler » Thu Jan 11, 2018 7:31 pm

I have been really busy. First I had to take apart a old MSS12 Trio House and put it back together with new bolts.

I have also been working on Heath Gourds. I have put a troyer tunnel on the front, 2 90 degree elbows for venting and as well as a access port in the back. They have turned out just like I wanted them too. They will be going under my 2 M12K’s.

Then just more of the Gourds I did last year. I had to make a couple to fill my new Gourd Rack.

I have also found a way to vent a Mini Castle or Trio Castle. I was going to put pvc elbows in the door in the back room just like I did on my other houses. But then I couldn’t open the back door very much. So I found these little small vents and installed them in the Doors.

I wish I had pictures so bad but I can’t figure out how too.

I would like to see pictures.

If you go to the thread about pictures being disabled there are instructions there on how to add them to your posts. I tried and tried to no avail until I figured out its all about the size of the picture.

You can change the size of the picture and it will load just fine as described in that thread. Anything under a megabyte should load.

If that doesn't work for you I will be happy to receive your pictures by email and load them here for you.

I hope that helps as I'm interested in seeing your work.

Thanks,

Coolwhips.

Dave, Yes I have saw that as well but I never tried it. I would work great too. This is the first thing that came to my mind.

Sharon, So sorry you should be able to see them now?

The first 2 photos are my small vents I was talking about it my first post. These will be going on a Mini Castle and Trio Castle Systems. So if you are wanting to vent your Castle Systems and you cant use PVC Vents go ahead and try these. Any Questions on them just ask and email me.

Kyler,
Good work over the winter months on martin house improvements. I also enjoy making modifications and improvements over the winter; it keeps me busy while waiting for their return.
Mite control, heat venting, predator protection and additional feeding during bad weather add up to success.
